Asian American Curriculum Project
The Asian American Curriculum Project pledges to offer the best in Asian American books and other educational materials. The books and other materials offered are for all age groups, all levels of education and all Asian ethnic groups. Materials include literature, folk tales, posters, magazine, tapes on language and music, games, activities, teachers guides, dictionaries, bilingual materials and reference books on history, social issues and education.

 

Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA)
AAJA's goal is to encourage young Asian Pacific Americans to enter the ranks of journalism, work for fair and accurate coverage of Asian Pacific Americans, and increase the number of Asian Pacific American journalists and news managers in the industry. This 1,700 member organization is proud to include among its members some of the top journalists in the country, from network news anchors and reporters to Pulitzer Prize-winning writers, editors and photographers, to national radio show producers and major magazine editors.

Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS)
The Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies, formerly the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus Institute, was established in 1995 as the only national, non-partisan, pan-Asian American organization dedicated to increasing the participation of Asian Pacific Americans in public policy and the political process. The primary objectives of the APA Institute are: to collect vital statistics and other information about Asian Pacific Americans; to provide a national forum for increased cooperation among the Asian Pacific American community; to inform Asian Pacific Americans about the current legislative agenda; to provide summer internships in Washington, DC for college and graduate students; and to provide fellowships for Asian Pacific American college graduates who are interested in public policy careers.

 

Asian Pacific American Heritage Council (APAHC)
APAHC, established in 1979, is a volunteer-led coalition of over twenty non-profit organizations, representing over nine million Asian Pacific Americans.

 

Asian & Pacific Islander Health Forum

The Health Forum is a national advocacy organization dedicated to promoting policy, program, and research efforts to improve the health and well-being of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. Founded in 1986, the Health Forum approaches activities with the philosophy of coalition-building and developing capacity within local AAPI communities.

 

Asia Society
The Asia Society was founded in 1956 by John D. Rockefeller III to foster understanding between Asians and Americans. Since the founding of the Asia Society, its programming has encompassed the public affairs, arts and cultures of all of the diverse countries of Asia, and, in response to changing demographics in the U.S., has expanded to include programs relating to Asian American issues.

Korean American Coalition (KAC)
The Korean American Coalition (KAC) is a non-profit, non-partisan community advocacy organization. Established in 1983, KAC's mission is to facilitate the Korean American community's participation in civic, legislative, and community affairs, and encourage the Korean American community to contribute and become an integral part of the broader American society. Over the course of 14 years, KAC has registered more than 75% of Korean American voters; coordinated forums, seminars, and workshops on legislative, political, and social issues; sponsored over 125 college internships and graduated 600 participants through the leadership conference; and processed more than 15,000 citizenship applications. KAC has continued to develop relations with the media, government agencies, and elected officials. In addition, good relations have been built and maintained with the leaders of other ethnic communities including the Asian/Pacific Islander, African American, Jewish, and Latino communities.

The National Asian Pacific American Families Against Substance Abuse (NAPAFASA) is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the alcohol, tobacco, and other drug issues of Asian and Pacific Islander (API) populations on the continental U.S., Hawaii, the six Pacific Island jurisdictions and elsewhere.
