Unite People JACL Youth
Youth are the Future – Diversity our Strength

Unite People (also known as UP) is the youth chapter of the Portland JACL. We are a diverse group of youth from all over the Portland metro area who come together once a month to discuss current socio-political issues and plan upcoming events and fundraiser to support the local community. For example we regularly participate in the Nikkei community picnic at Oaks Park, the annual Mochitsuki Festival. We are also involved with other community services such as Goose Hollow – a homeless shelter for families in downtown.
Mission Statement
Unite People (UP) is a membership-driven organization whose mission is to secure and uphold civil and human rights for all people and participate in the development of understanding between social and ethnic groups.
