Come join us for a night to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Seattle Chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League (Seattle JACL) with current President Stan Shikuma, historian Bill Tashima, and resident expert on redress, Kyle Kinoshita. Through the night, attendees will go through the history of Seattle JACL and how the process of redress for Japanese Americans began. Expect to learn about how Seattle JACL made impactful changes in the Japanese American community here in Seattle and beyond.

We have partnered with PSU Cultural Resource Center, more specifically the Native American American Student and Community Center, in addition to the Asian, Asian American and Pacific Islander Student Center.

Do you know about or would you like to get more information about HR40? HR40 is a bill pending a vote in the House of Representatives that would establish the Commission that would study and develop reparation proposals for African Americans.
On Wednesday, October 27, from 2-3:30 PT there will be a Town Hall on HR 40 Reparations where you can learn more about the status of the bill, what is happening, and the next steps of action.
